Hope to see you there! :) In a recent survey in an IFS community, many people voiced a need for support- either in person or by phone or online. As I thought about such a network, it seemed to me the skills for taking care of our own parts overlapped a lot with those we would use to support others. So I combined those skills into one class. Some people might choose to join a mutual support network, while others might just use the skills to help their own parts for now
In this class you'll explore some daily practices that can help you to become more connected to Self energy in your life. How can you help your protectors relax so you can feel more connected to Self? This is so helpful , as it sets up a baseline of compassion that then helps you to comfort and support your parts in difficult times. Each person will develop her/his own “menu” of things that help the system to relax, and your Self to be available for your parts.
You'll also learn ways to help the parts of you that need assistance. If your parts are upset, how can you help them? What do your sad parts often need? What about angry parts, or scared parts, or disappointed parts? These will be covered in the class, as well as ways to unblend from distressed parts, ways to help your own parts deal with daily challenges, and ways to provide effective support for another person.
2 choices of meeting each month- Thursday Evening or Saturday Morning US time (you sign up for the class, choose each month which to attend) Covered in each class: - ways to connect with Self energy -ways to support parts feeling different emotions. - lessons, demos, and sharing -Recordings so you can listen if you can’t attend (but attendance is encouraged if possible)
In addition: -During the last 2 sessions you’ll have a chance to practice with another person if that feels right for you. -There will be a private Facebook group to help you share progress with others, ask questions, or get suggestions between meetings. -There will be prompts sent out for practice between sessions in case your system wants that (but no pressure to do “homework”).

February 22, 24 Continuing Self-connection practice, dealing with parts holding sad feelings, March 21, 23 maintaining Self-connection practice, dealing with parts holding angry feelings April 18, 20Self-connection check in, dealing with parts holding fear, skills for supporting others and their parts May 16, 18Celebration of steps toward greater Self-connection over the past months of class, assisting others, complications (e.g. concerned parts, switching parts we’re concentrating on as needed, etc).
Cost:Sliding scale, based on how much you feel you can afford for the 5 sessions: $75 standard cost, for those employed, able to spend $15 per class $35 Subsidized cost, for those needing some support $10 Limited availability for those in circumstances of financial need
